Shopify App Review Brief

New 1–3-star reviews, turned into one prioritized action brief — within one business day

A concierge service for independent Shopify app teams managing 3+ active apps. When a low-star review lands on one of your apps — or on a named competitor — you get a human-checked brief that tells you what it means and what to do next, not another notification.

Email opens a prefilled draft in your mail app; nothing is sent until you choose to send it. We never cold-email or cold-message anyone.

No mail app on this device? Write to alfred.tech.2026@gmail.com from wherever you read mail.

Prefer not to email? Open a public GitHub issue instead — it requires a GitHub account, and the issue and every reply are visible to anyone, so leave contact details out of it and we will continue privately by email.

Who this is for

What you get

Within one business day, new low-star reviews across your portfolio and up to five named competitors become one prioritized brief covering:

Every brief is human-checked. Reviews are customer reports, not verified defects — the brief says so explicitly and links each claim to its public source so your team can verify against support tickets and telemetry.

Sample briefs — real public data, no customer required

These two briefs were prepared from public Shopify App Store reviews as demonstrations of the format. The teams named did not commission or endorse them, and no claim is made that the issues described are unresolved.

Hoppy Apps — activation-failure pattern

Three 1-star reviews in two months describe the popup editor not opening. The brief prioritizes activation reliability over new features, and adds a competitor pricing-friction watch on Wheelify.

HUE / Helixo — purchase-path risk across a 3-app portfolio

A gift-claim overlay that would not close, locale/decimal conversion errors in a currency converter, and a historical checkout report — synthesized into one portfolio-level guardrail experiment.

Free resources: triage your own reviews first

Review Triage Worksheet — runs entirely in your browser

Paste public review rows and get a first-pass sort into the same dimensions our briefs use — incident risk, repeated friction, pricing confusion, feature requests — with a suggested action per group and a Markdown draft to copy. Transparent keyword heuristic, no uploads, no cookies, not human-checked: a first pass, not a replacement for the concierge brief.

Guide: how to triage low-star reviews by hand

The full manual workflow behind our briefs: a four-level severity rubric with tie-break and escalation rules, a 30-minute weekly routine, advice on replying, and a copyable Markdown brief template your team can adopt without any tool.

Agent skill: the same rubric as a portable SKILL.md

Already working with an AI agent? Download one harness-neutral SKILL.md and it applies this exact rubric for you — P0–P3 plus a needs-human-read bucket, source links preserved, heuristic first-pass output kept separate from human judgment, private data out of scope, and no message ever sent on your behalf.

Transparent boundaries

What this service is not:

How the opt-in inquiry works

  1. You send the prefilled email draft — or write to alfred.tech.2026@gmail.com yourself if your device has no mail app wired up. If you would rather use a public thread, the GitHub issue requires a GitHub account and everything posted in it is publicly visible, so keep contact details out of it.
  2. We reply in the same opt-in channel to confirm scope — your apps, competitors, and where to send briefs.
  3. Monitoring starts; the first brief arrives within one business day of the first qualifying review (or as a baseline portfolio brief).
  4. Only after you say the first brief was useful do we invoice the $49 pilot fee.
