Review triage worksheet — a first pass over your low-star reviews, locally

For independent Shopify app teams managing 3+ active apps: paste public review rows below and get them sorted into the same dimensions our briefs use — incident risk, repeated friction, pricing confusion, and feature requests — each with a suggested action, plus a Markdown draft you can copy into your issue tracker.

What this is (and is not):

How to use it

  1. Open the public reviews page of one of your apps (or a named competitor) on the Shopify App Store.
  2. Copy recent low-star reviews into the box below, one review per line, ideally as rating | app name | review text. The rating and app name are optional — a bare line of review text works too. Lines starting with # are ignored.
  3. Press Triage reviews (or Ctrl/+Enter inside the box).
  4. Read the prioritized table, then copy or download the Markdown draft for your issue tracker or team chat.

How the triage works — the complete rule set

Each review’s text is lower-cased and checked against the keyword lists below, in order. The first dimension with a matching keyword becomes the row’s primary dimension; further matches are noted as secondary. Rows matching nothing go to a “Needs human read” bucket — the heuristic never pretends to understand them. If the same friction keyword appears in two or more rows, those rows are flagged as repeated. That’s the whole algorithm; there is no model, scoring, or hidden logic.

Show the exact keyword lists and suggested actions

Known limits: keyword matching is English-only, misses sarcasm and context, can misfile a review that mentions “checkout” in passing, and covers only the text you paste — it makes no claim of exhaustive coverage. That is why every output is labeled a first pass.

Prefer to run this process by hand — or want the reasoning behind the categories? The review triage guide walks through the same rubric manually: severity definitions, tie-break and escalation rules, a weekly workflow, and a copyable brief template.

Working inside an AI agent instead of a browser tab? The free agent skill packages this same rule set — these exact keyword lists and suggested actions — as one harness-neutral SKILL.md file, so your agent produces the same first pass and keeps the same honesty labels, source links, and privacy boundaries.

When the first pass isn’t enough

This worksheet sorts the reviews you already found. The Shopify App Review Brief is the human-checked version of the same job: for independent Shopify app teams managing 3+ active apps, every new 1–3-star review across your portfolio and up to five named competitors becomes one prioritized, human-checked brief — with source links — within one business day. The 14-day concierge pilot is $49, charged only after you approve the first useful brief.
